The ports of Ukraine handled 7 million tons in the first quarter of 2024, which is 1.5 times higher than the previous year. The largest sectors of vantage handling were grains, which amounted to 4.4 million tons, and ore cargo, which amounted to 1.2 million tons, which indicates the current growth is equal to the current trend.
According to the words of the trade minister, 90% of foreign trade with the Danube ports passed through the ports of the Danube and Odessa, which was exported between 1.3 and 1.5 million tons, the largest share. The Ukrainian corridor generated 5.6 million tons of goods, of which 3.6 million tons were the products of Ukrainian farmers.
In total, over the first six months of 2024, Ukrainian ports handled 53 million tons and served 6,046 vessels, which indicates a significant development and support of transport flow in the region.
