On March 11, 2024, an important meeting was held at the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan, chaired by Vice-Minister M.K. Kaliakparov, dedicated to the problems of the shipbuilding industry. The meeting participants, including representatives of key companies such as NC Kazakhstan Engineering JSC, Caspian Offshore and Marine Construction LLP, and others, discussed current issues of human resources and proposed ways to solve them.
An important aspect of the discussion was the work on creating an industry qualifications framework for specialists in the field of water transport, as well as the development of a professional standard “Organization of construction, modernization and equipment of ships.” The purpose of the meeting was to determine not only the current needs of the industry, but also to develop effective strategies for its further development and operation.
