Baku International Sea Trade Port handled over 3.9 million tons of cargo in the first half of 2025, which is 6.3% more than in the same period of 2024. One of the key partners on the Trans-Caspian route continues to strengthen its position in the region.
The container segment demonstrates particularly impressive dynamics: in the first six months of this year, the port handled over 53 thousand TEU, which is 71.8% more than in the first half of last year. For comparison, for the whole of 2024, container turnover amounted to 76.8 thousand TEU, an increase of more than 73%.
The total cargo turnover of the port of Baku in 2024 reached 7.6 million tons, an increase of 3.2%. Such indicators emphasize the growing importance of the port in international logistics and its role as an important link in the Middle Corridor.
