The CIS Executive Committee and the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) agreed to develop a plan of joint activities for the development of transport corridors until 2030. At the meeting, EEC Minister of Energy and Infrastructure Arzybek Kozhoshev and Chairman of the Executive Committee of the CIS Coordination Transport Conference Gennady Bessonov discussed expanding cooperation within the framework of the Agreement on the coordinated development of international transport corridors in the territory of the CIS and the EAEU.
The parties expressed their intention to strengthen coordination for the development of Eurasian transport corridors, emphasizing that the combined efforts of the EEC and the CIS CTC will lead to significant progress in this direction.
Based on the current memorandums and the action plan for 2023-2025, the meeting participants decided to prepare a protocol of intent, which will form the basis for developing a detailed action plan for the development of transport corridors until 2030.
