The ferry terminal in Swinoeujscie, the only one in the country capable of handling rail ferries, has resumed operations in Poland. The terminal recently received a batch of wagons from the Swedish port of Ystad, which arrived on the ferry Polonia and were sent to the south of Poland for repairs.
The Swinoeujscie terminal, which was modernized and expanded last autumn, is now fully ready to safely and efficiently handle rail traffic across the Baltic Sea. It plays a key role in maintaining rail traffic between Poland and Sweden.
In early August, the terminal successfully handled the first batch of wagons after the modernization, confirming its importance for the country’s rail infrastructure.
This facility remains the only one in Poland capable of handling rail ferries, ensuring reliable and efficient transport connections across the Baltic.
