The Port of Antwerp-Bruges is opening a tender for the development of a logistics area in Zeebrugge.

The Port of Antwerp-Bruges is taking the next step in expanding the Maritime Logistics Zone in Zeebrugge by offering investors 8.5 hectares of strategically located land. Under the motto “Grow your project at the gates of Europe”, the port has launched a tender for national and international companies involved in the distribution and logistics of perishable and fast-moving goods.

The Maritime Logistics Zone is being developed in stages and is aimed at attracting additional maritime cargo traffic and creating a promising business environment. The new site is intended for logistics projects related to deep-sea and short-sea shipping. Particular attention is paid to the cold chain (fast transport of temperature-sensitive goods), consumer goods (efficient distribution between intercontinental and regional supply chains) and oversized cargo (specialized infrastructure for handling heavy and oversized cargo).
