The port of Tallinn begins searching for partners for the development of the port of Muuga

Port of Tallinn has commenced its quest for new collaborators to propel the growth of free areas situated in the eastern sector of Muuga Harbour, offering over 7.6 hectares of land for potential development endeavors.

Keen on fostering a versatile loading, handling, and storage complex tailored for eco-friendly fuels or alternative production and logistics ventures, Port of Tallinn eyes the transformation of the specified territory within the eastern confines of Muuga Harbour.

Situated beyond the free zone of Muuga Harbour, the earmarked development zone encompasses an existing surface area of 76,274 square meters, with an expansion potential of up to 67,978 square meters into the sea, complemented by access to Muuga Harbour berth no. 33. The area is earmarked for multifunctional use, including the prospect of constructing a liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal, subject to a detailed spatial plan.

Port of Tallinn invites prospective partners to present their development proposals by May 31, 2024, outlining their vision, cargo projections, investment scale, timeline, and project stakeholders.
