Tokayev discussed the development of cooperation with Germany at a meeting of Central Asian leaders.

President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev took part in a meeting of the heads of Central Asian states with the Federal Chancellor of Germany, where he presented his vision of key areas of cooperation. Tokayev named the development of industrial cooperation and increasing the supply of critical materials to Germany as one of the priorities.

The President also emphasized the importance of strengthening transport and logistics connectivity between the countries, which will become the basis for further economic growth and closer cooperation.

These initiatives proposed by Tokayev are aimed at strengthening the strategic partnership between the countries of Central Asia and Germany, which opens up new prospects for the development of joint projects and an increase in trade turnover.

“Further development of the Middle Corridor opens up broad investment prospects, including in terms of modernization and digitalization of the Caspian Sea ports and construction of cargo terminals. Further integration of the transport and logistics systems of Central Asia and Europe remains an urgent task. Kazakhstan welcomes the decision of European partners to allocate 10 billion euros within the framework of the Global Gateway program for the development of the Middle Corridor. We count on Germany’s assistance in connecting this route with the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T) and the Global Gateway strategy,” the Head of State emphasized.
