In 2023, companies that chose the services of UTLC ERA JSC reduced their carbon footprint by more than 270 thousand tons. Over the past year, 674,011 TEUs were delivered through the company’s services, and 98% of them passed through the territory of Kazakhstan. Container trains transited along the route China – Europe – China for a total distance of about 11.5 million kilometers, the average travel time was 5.27 days.
The total cost of transported cargo reached 35.2 billion tenge, and today 88% of the codes of the commodity nomenclature of the Foreign Economic Activity of the Eurasian Economic Union are transported in UTLC ERA services. As part of the development of railway transit, a memorandum was signed defining new standards for transportation through the territories of Kazakhstan, Russia and Belarus, including the transition to electronic document management and the abandonment of the paper CIM/SMGS consignment note until 2026. In addition, UTLC ERA JSC is actively working on environmental sustainability, having developed its own carbon dioxide emissions accounting system and planted 13,700 trees last year to offset part of its carbon footprint.
