The new service operates five times a week and reduces road transport by approximately 13,000 trucks per year, reducing road congestion and CO\u2082 emissions.<\/p>\n<p>The service is operated in partnership with Mercitalia Intermodal, the operator, with Lineas providing locomotives. Trains depart from the Main Hub terminal in Antwerp and travel to Segrate near Milan, providing access to domestic destinations within Italy, including the Pomezia terminal south of Rome. The company is considering expanding the route to France, Germany, and Eastern Europe in the future.<\/p>\n<p>The launch of the line is the first result of FS Logistix\u2019s acquisition of a 30% stake in the Main Hub terminal in Belgium.
