As a result of the transaction, Boluda plans to become the second-largest freight rail company in Spain after Renfe Mercanc\u00edas.<\/p>\n<p>Currently, DB owns approximately 70% of Transfesa, with the remaining 20% \u200b\u200bowned by Renfe, the national carrier. The company operates a fleet of 3,350 freight cars and 1,000 swap bodies, enabling it to transport a wide range of cargo.<\/p>\n<p>Transfesa is known for its extensive route network both on the Iberian Peninsula and in other European countries, built in partnership with DB Cargo.
