The solution is part of the \u201cFuture of Rail Freight\u201d program and combines a terminal operating system with mobile applications, which makes freight terminal operations faster and easier.<\/p>\n<p>InGa-Z\u2019s functionality includes cloud-based container management, automated order processing, contactless check-in, AI-based loading optimization and real-time cargo status updates.<\/p>\n<p>According to Hitachi Rail, the pilot implementation of the platform at the Philippsthal terminal since July 2025 has shown significant results: check-in times have been cut in half, manual operations have been reduced by 70% and one additional freight unit has been added to each train.<\/p>\n<\/section>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hitachi Rail, together with MT Logistics and DB Cargo, launched the digital platform InGa-Z, created within the framework of the joint venture Protostellar with the support of the German Federal Ministry of Transport.
