The new terminal covers 36 hectares and will increase the hub\u2019s annual capacity from 3 to 4.5 million TEU by the end of 2025, allowing it to handle the world\u2019s largest container ships thanks to a berth depth of 17.5 meters.<\/p>\n<p>T3 is equipped with state-of-the-art electrical equipment, including 20 automated gantry cranes (RMG) and 7 giant STS ship-to-shore cranes, which not only increases efficiency but also minimizes the environmental impact. The entire terminal complex is powered by electricity from renewable sources, supporting Baltic Hub\u2019s goals of reducing carbon emissions by 50% by 2030 and achieving climate neutrality by 2050.<\/p>\n<p>According to Jan Van Mossevelde, CEO of Baltic Hub, the opening of T3 is not just a development of the port, but an important step for the entire Polish economy. The new terminal will expand the export capabilities of Poland and Central European countries, and strengthen intermodal connections between the Baltic and global trade routes. Since the beginning of 2024, Polish ports have already handled a record 3.3 million TEU, of which 2.2 million were handled by Baltic Hub.<\/p>\n<p>The project partners, including PSA International, PFR and IFM Investors, noted the strategic importance of T3 for international logistics and energy infrastructure.
