Lines (MOL) has started using bio-LNG to fuel its cargo carrier Celeste Ace, marking a major step in its decarbonization efforts. On March 16, the vessel received 500 tonnes of bio-LNG from Titan Supply at the port of Zeebrugge, Belgium.<\/p>\n<p>Celeste Ace is the Japanese shipping company\u2019s first ocean-going vessel to use bio-LNG, a fuel certified by the EU\u2019s International Sustainability and Carbon Certification (ISCC) programme. Bio-LNG has a carbon intensity of less than zero, enabling significant reductions in CO\u2082 emissions, surpassing the 25% reduction achieved using conventional LNG.<\/p>\n<p>MOL, as part of its Blue Action 2035 strategy, aims to accelerate the adoption of bio-LNG and synthetic LNG to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050.<\/p>\n<\/section>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Mitsui O.S.K.
