The agreements reached were the result of the 15th meeting of the Subcommittee on Cooperation in Transport, which was held in Urumqi with the participation of Kazakhstan\u2019s Vice Minister of Transport Maksat Kaliakparov and China\u2019s Deputy Minister of Transport Li Yang.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1160\" height=\"526\" src=\"https:\/\/gruzingeo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/whatsapp-image-2025-02-27-at-094856-67bff06f057d5-1160x526-1.jpg\" alt=\"Kazakhstan and China have agreed to increase transportation along the Trans-Caspian route.\" class=\"wp-image-11351\" title=\"Intermodal Kazakhstan and China have agreed to increase transportation along the Trans-Caspian route.\"><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>China has expressed interest in expanding freight transportation by road through Kazakhstan to Europe. In 2023, the countries transferred the process of exchanging permits to an electronic format, which allowed doubling the number of trips.
