The physical volume index (PVI) of the Transport and Warehousing sector increased by 119%, indicating the high dynamics of the industry\u2019s development. During the month, 90.3 million tons of cargo were transported, which is 18.2% more than a year earlier, and passenger traffic amounted to 143.2 million people (+ 15.4%).<\/p>\n<p>Freight turnover reached 45.9 billion t-km, an increase of 13.8%, and passenger turnover grew by 15%, reaching 7.1 billion p-km. The leaders in freight traffic growth were Almaty, Astana and Shymkent, and in passenger traffic \u2013 Almaty, Shymkent and the Mangistau region.<\/p>\n<p>The growth of indicators confirms the active development of infrastructure and an increase in demand for transport services.
