With \u20ac50 million previously raised from an existing shareholder and \u20ac90 million in grants from the German Federal Railway Authority and the Swiss Federal Office of Transport, the total investment over the past 12 months has reached \u20ac205 million.<\/p>\n<p>CargoBeamer develops innovative logistics solutions, enabling the transport of semi-trailers by rail with an automated loading system that reduces handling time to 20 minutes \u2013 9 times faster than at traditional terminals. Using the company\u2019s network of routes in Germany, Italy and France, it reduces CO\u2082 emissions by 85% compared to diesel trucks, while also reducing congestion on the roads and the shortage of drivers. The European medium and long-haul market is estimated to reach \u20ac88 billion by 2032.<\/p>\n<p>The new investment will help CargoBeamer build two state-of-the-art terminals in Kaldenkirchen, Germany and Domodossola, Italy, which will make it faster and easier to transfer road freight to rail. Construction will begin in 2025, with completion scheduled for 2026.
