With a budget of \u20ac1,476 million (85% of which is provided by EU funds), the project brings together partners from Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, Greece, Albania, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro. The project will last for three years.<\/p>\n<p>The main goal of ADRIREC is to reduce air pollution and CO2 emissions by transforming ports into renewable energy hubs. To this end, a set of tools will be developed to help assess the potential of renewable energy and create energy communities. These solutions will form part of a common transnational strategy.<\/p>\n<p>The Port of Rijeka Authority, one of the key participants, will build a pilot solar power plant on the passenger terminal building.
