It is the fifth of 18 large dual-fuel vessels Maersk plans to receive in 2024-25. Each vessel is designed to carry more than 16,000 TEUs. The vessels are key to Maersk\u2019s plans to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by using sustainable fuels such as green methanol.<\/p>\n<p>Named after Alexandra Maersk-M\u00f8ller, sister of the company\u2019s founder A.P. M\u00f8ller, the new vessel underlines the company\u2019s commitment to tradition and environmental sustainability.
