The Duisburg\u2013Antwerp transfer offers two weekly departures in each direction with a transit time of around 7.5 hours for wagon loads and containers.<\/p>\n<p>Duisburg and Antwerp play an important role in European rail freight transport. Duisburg is the world\u2019s largest inland port and, as a central hub in the Ruhr region, an important crossroads for transport logistics in Germany and Europe. Antwerp, on the other hand, is one of Europe\u2019s most important seaports and a gateway to international markets. The port connects Europe with overseas markets and is a central transhipment point for goods flows between Northern and Western Europe and beyond. By connecting the extensive industrial area of \u200b\u200bthe Rhine-Ruhr region with the industrial sites in the Antwerp area, RCG offers seamless transport to and from Scandinavia, Germany, Austria, Italy and the entire southern and south-eastern European region.<\/p>\n<p>The Duisburg-Antwerp transfer also provides a seamless connection to the existing TransFER Linz-Scandinavia-Wels, as volumes can be loaded from Duisburg\/Reinkamp to Malm\u00f6. RCG thus ensures a seamless logistics chain all the way to Northern Europe, as departure and arrival times are precisely coordinated. In parallel with the introduction of the new route, the existing TransFER Linz-Duisburg-Wels will be expanded by two additional departures per week, for a total of eight departures.
