(NX Vietnam), a subsidiary of NIPPON EXPRESS HOLDINGS, INC., launched a new rail service linking Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City on June 21. With Vietnam\u2019s rapid economic growth fueling increased logistics needs, the new service will be an important element in effectively connecting the country\u2019s manufacturing and consumer centers. Switching to rail transportation will help solve the problem of constant traffic congestion and reduce the costs and time of transporting goods.<\/p>\n<p>NX Vietnam\u2019s rail service covers the 1,700 km distance between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City in approximately 48 hours, offering daily departures except Mondays. The new service allows large volumes of cargo to be transported with significantly lower CO2 emissions than road transport, in line with the new environmental law that came into force in Vietnam in 2022.
