This strategic investment aims to enhance the diversification of Poland\u2019s natural gas supply sources, ensuring the security of over 30% of the country\u2019s energy demand.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The floating LNG terminal, situated within the administrative boundaries of the Port of Gda\u0144sk, will serve as a pivotal hub for liquefied natural gas, converting it into a gaseous form for injection into the transmission network. The collaborative agreements, inked on 12 October, signify a commitment to mutual support and coordination throughout the investment process, encompassing design, preparation, and implementation. The Port of Gda\u0144sk Management Board will play a crucial role in facilitating the project\u2019s execution, providing necessary utilities and real estate within the port area, while the Maritime Office in Gdynia will oversee the construction of essential infrastructure, including the breakwater foundation.<\/p>\n<p>The LNG Gda\u0144sk project has received significant backing from the European Committee under the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF), securing approximately EUR 19.6 million in funding for technical specifications and design work.
