A key initiative is the establishment of an offshore wind energy terminal, crucial for Lithuania\u2019s Baltic Sea wind farm projects. Additionally, preparations will commence for the construction of a new cruise ship quay, allowing the port to accommodate larger cruise vessels and create a new public space. The southern part of the port is also in line for development, encompassing a new 100-hectare area, ensuring continuity and expansion of ship repair and construction activities.<\/p>\n<p>Green projects take center stage as Klaip\u0117da Port implements an EU-funded initiative to install green hydrogen production facilities and public refueling stations. Onshore power infrastructure, featuring charging stations at ro-ro terminals, will enable ferries arriving at the port to connect to the grid, minimizing environmental impact.
