The technology and processes have undergone thorough testing to ensure compatibility and effectiveness. By connecting to shore-side electricity from renewable sources, the vessel\u2019s diesel engines can be switched off while berthed, leading to a significant reduction in greenhouse gas emissions and harmful substances. HPA is conducting further tests to expedite the deployment of shore-side power stations across the Port of Hamburg, promoting sustainable and climate-friendly maritime practices.<\/p>\n<p>HHLA is actively contributing to the development of sustainable logistics solutions through its \u201cBalanced Logistics\u201d initiative, aligning with the goal of achieving climate-neutral production across the Group by 2040.
