The ten largest ports handled 39.06 million tons, or 83.5% of total cargo turnover. The most popular export commodities were Portland cement, clinker, bauxite, polyspar, and diesel fuel, with the main shipping destinations being Italy, the United States, Egypt, China, and Spain.<\/p>\n<p>Coal, oil, scrap metal, coke, and diesel fuel dominated imports. Container throughput also increased by 3.5% over the first ten months, reaching 11.68 million TEU.
