The project is estimated to cost \u20ac265 million, of which \u20ac26 million will be allocated to creating green spaces. The hub\u2019s infrastructure includes a rolling road terminal and a loading terminal, which will significantly increase the handling of freight moving from road to rail.<\/p>\n<p>The new rail system is expected to reduce road congestion and CO2 emissions: it is estimated that over the past decade, it will avoid more than 1.7 million truck journeys. A total of six terminals are planned, ensuring efficient handling of both maritime and land traffic and strengthening the port\u2019s role as a key logistics hub in the region.<\/p>\n<p>The PDU will create 24 hectares of new public green spaces, forming an ecological network between natural and industrial areas.
