The total project cost is estimated at approximately \u20ac56.5 million. Construction is planned on the site of a former railway marshalling yard, near the area where a third bridge across the Danube is expected to be built, further strengthening the region\u2019s transport role.<\/p>\n<p>The project includes the construction of a new railway station with seven tracks, warehouse and administrative infrastructure, a customs post, a parking lot, and an access road from the Ruse industrial zone. Management of the future terminal is expected to be transferred to a private operator, which should improve its efficiency and attract logistics businesses.<\/p>\n<p>The National Railway Infrastructure Company (NRIC) plans to announce a tender for the terminal\u2019s design and construction in early 2026. Ruse, home to Bulgaria\u2019s largest port on the Danube and bordering Romania, is seen as a promising transport hub for the country\u2019s northeast.
