The launch of the new specialized terminal will allow the company to increase production capacity: from mid-2026, approximately 2 million tonnes of additional handling capacity will become available to meet the growing demand for high-quality construction materials.

The new facility will be equipped with a modern quay wall and a 13.5-meter deep water area, ensuring unimpeded access for Mibau Stema’s two newest self-unloading vessels, reducing CO₂ emissions by approximately 90% through lower fuel consumption. The Port of Amsterdam emphasized that the company’s investment confirms its long-term strategy to develop the city as an import hub and is in line with the port’s commitment to multimodality and sustainable development.

Mibau Stema Group, a supplier of aggregates to the European construction and infrastructure sectors, is developing its own terminal project, covering approximately 5 hectares, in the Afrikahaven area of the Port of Amsterdam.
