The investment is aimed at strengthening the company\u2019s position in the multimodal transportation market in Southeastern Europe.<\/p>\n<p>The Arad terminal plays a key role in the development of rail and container transportation between Romania and European logistics hubs. In July 2025, a container service between Arad and Bucharest was launched, connecting the country via Hungary with major North Sea ports.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, METRANS continues to expand its infrastructure in the region. Since the end of 2025, the company has been constructing a new terminal in Szeged, Hungary.
