This initiative opens a new stage in the development of regional transportation and aims to ensure fast, sustainable, and comfortable travel on the future Rail Baltica line.<\/p>\n<p>The joint procurement will optimize costs and ensure technical compatibility of trains throughout the region. Each operator will manage its own fleet, and the external design of the trains will retain the operators\u2019 national identities. The new trains will accommodate approximately 200 passengers and include first- and second-class carriages, bicycle areas, and infrastructure for passengers with reduced mobility. The maximum speed will be up to 200 km\/h, and they will operate on a 1,435 mm track gauge.<\/p>\n<p>LTG Link emphasized that the project aims to reduce travel times and increase the attractiveness of rail travel as an alternative to driving. The company plans to purchase up to eight trains, while the total procurement volume for the three countries could reach up to 20 units.
