The project is being implemented jointly with the operator RheinPorts, making Duisburg the third port \u2013 following Basel and Trier \u2013 to adopt this technology.<\/p>\n<p>The RPIS integrates all participants in the river logistics chain: ports, transshipment terminals, and inland shipping operators. According to Duisport, real-time data exchange reduces administrative burdens and enhances logistics efficiency. Lars Nennhaus, Vice Chairman of the Executive Board for Technology and Operations, noted the high level of interest in the system; at launch, approximately 160 shipping companies and private operators had already registered.
