It is intended to support Ro-Ro traffic at HHLA PLT Italy and connect maritime flows at Trieste with inland rail handling at Cervignano del Friuli.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1000\" height=\"666\" src=\"https:\/\/gruzingeo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/f6f2de65958427d6.jpg\" alt=\"HHLA PLT Italy starts Trieste\u2013Cervignano rail shuttle.\" class=\"wp-image-21589\" title=\"Europe HHLA PLT Italy starts Trieste\u2013Cervignano rail shuttle.\"><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">HHLA PLT<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The shuttle adds a rail link within Friuli Venezia Giulia\u2019s logistics network. It also connects HHLA PLT Italy with the wider duisport network serving Central and Eastern European markets.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Interporto di Trieste was also involved in the project.
