The grant will cover nearly 40% of the project\u2019s total estimated cost of PLN 554 million.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The investment program entails transitioning some terminal operations to electric technology, expanding rail infrastructure, and implementing advanced digital management and monitoring systems. As part of the project, Baltic Hub will acquire additional quay and yard cranes and a fleet of electric terminal tractors, as well as carry out construction work to develop the terminal\u2019s rail infrastructure. Implementing these measures will increase the facility\u2019s throughput capacity, enhance intermodal transport efficiency, and reduce the terminal\u2019s environmental impact.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The funding was awarded through a call for proposals for intermodal transport development under the \u201cEuropean Funds for Infrastructure, Climate, Environment\u201d (FEnIKS) program for 2021\u20132027. Baltic Hub CEO Jan Van Mossevelde noted that the project marks a significant milestone in the terminal\u2019s development and aligns with the PSA Group\u2019s \u201cNode to Network\u201d strategy, which aims to create an efficient global transport network.
