Samskip has launched a new direct shortsea route linking Agadir and Casablanca with ports in the UK and the Netherlands, significantly simplifying the export of Moroccan produce to Europe. Weekly services are designed to transport fresh fruits and vegetables, automotive components, chemicals, and other cargo, with subsequent multimodal connections throughout Europe.

To ensure speed and reliability, specialized vessels and modern refrigeration equipment are used, including GPS-enabled containers with controlled atmosphere technology, which keeps goods fresh for up to 45 days. Switching from road to sea transport reduces CO₂ emissions by up to 80% and makes logistics more predictable.

Samskip also provides full customs support in Morocco and Europe, simplifying import and export procedures. The new route creates a large-scale and environmentally friendly trade corridor between North Africa and Europe, strengthening long-term partnerships.
