Stadler Kazakhstan has begun production of passenger cars for the complete renewal of the national carrier’s fleet.

The first passenger carriage manufactured at the Stadler Kazakhstan plant was presented to the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. The carriages were designed to withstand the harsh climatic conditions of the country and are designed for 40 years of service. They feature modern engineering solutions aimed at improving passenger comfort and safety.

Production in Kazakhstan includes compartment, reserved seat and special carriages for passengers with limited mobility. In 2025, the company plans to produce 51 carriages, and by 2030 – 557 units, which will ensure a complete renewal of the national operator’s fleet. Kazakhstani manufacturing companies are actively involved in the project, which contributes to the development of localization.

During the visit, the head of state also got acquainted with the modernization of the railway industry: 125 stations are being reconstructed, a digital platform for passengers is being introduced, satellite Internet is being provided on trains and advanced IT solutions are being used to improve the level of service and safety.
