At the International Conference on Reconstruction of Ukraine URC2025 in Rome, a financial agreement was signed between Ukraine and the European Investment Bank (EIB) for the amount of 134 million euros. The document was signed by Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Oleksiy Kuleba and EIB Vice President Teresa Czerwinska. The funds will be used to restore critical transport infrastructure – roads, bridges and logistics hubs in regions with high loads, providing access to medical, humanitarian and administrative services.
The project will be implemented jointly with the State Agency for Reconstruction and Development of Infrastructure. Oleksiy Kuleba noted that these investments are a real contribution to improving people’s lives and strengthening the country’s economic resilience in the conditions of war. In addition, cooperation priorities were discussed, including the launch of additional housing stock restoration programs, the development of border infrastructure and the creation of grant mechanisms to support communities that do not have access to loans.
During the conference, Kuleba also met with EIB President Nadia Calvino, where the parties agreed to expand cooperation, in particular on social housing and support for affected regions.
