At the beginning of the new year, the first China-Germany freight train started from Guangzhou, following a route through Kazakhstan. The train carries a variety of goods, including equipment, household electrical appliances and other cargo with a total value of about $5 million, the total weight of which reaches 355 tons.
To minimize the impact of geopolitical conflicts on industrial and supply chains, Guangzhou Communications Investment Group Co., Ltd. took steps in advance by interacting with foreign agents and applying for support as part of the German railway system plan. The resumption of the Guangzhou to Hamburg express train opens a new reliable and secure Asia-Europe logistics route for goods that have faced restrictions in sea transport. Regular organization and operation of China-Europe freight trains from Germany is planned to ensure the sustainability of international supply chains.
