The largest container ship MSC INGRID is in the port of Riga for the first time.

The largest container ship in the history of the Port of Riga, MSC INGRID, has successfully completed handling at the Port of Riga. The vessel, 294.06 m long, 32.25 m wide and with a displacement of 53,208 GT, belongs to the international Swiss company MSC (Mediterranean Shipping Company), which now includes the Port of Riga in its regular container route.

MSC INGRID arrived at the Port of Riga on the evening of February 3 from Lithuania (Port of Klaipeda) and will soon depart for the Port of Bremerhaven in Germany. The container ship was serviced at the SIA Baltic Container Terminal (BCT), the largest specialized container terminal in the Port of Riga, which handled 19.3% of all port cargo in 2024.
