From 23 to 25 April, a high-level delegation from the ports of Hamburg and Lübeck visited Estonia to strengthen ties between the German and Estonian logistics sectors. The delegation was hosted at the Paldiski South Harbour and the Muuga Harbour, where representatives from the Port of Tallinn and Rail Baltica and HHLA TK presented key projects, including sustainable logistics solutions and process digitalisation.

The key event was the Estonian-German Port Forum in Tallinn, which brought together representatives from the port and logistics industries of both countries. Valdo Kalm, CEO of the Port of Tallinn, and Kuldar Leis, Minister of Infrastructure of Estonia, emphasised the importance of cooperation in the context of geopolitical instability and the need to develop sustainable trade corridors. According to representatives from the Port of Hamburg, the Baltic region plays an important role in transport links between Northern Europe and Eurasia.

The delegation included the Mayor of Lübeck Jan Lindenau, Director of Ports and Logistics of the Hamburg Ministry of Economic Affairs Nils Wicker, Head of the Port of Lübeck Sebastian Jürgens and Regional Director of the Port of Hamburg Marina Basso Michael.
