Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Olzhas Bektenov held a working meeting with Jérôme Boyer, Managing Director of Alstom Kazakhstan, to discuss developing investment cooperation within the framework of the objectives set by the Head of State. The parties discussed the current state and future prospects of cooperation between the state and the company in the field of railway engineering.
The talks focused on developing Alstom Kazakhstan’s production capacity and expanding the export potential of Elektrovoz Kurastyru Zauyty, a locomotive manufacturer. During the meeting, it was noted that the plant’s products are considered an important element in the development of the national railway industry and strengthening Kazakhstan’s position in regional markets.
The increased localization of production at Elektrovoz Kurastyru Zauyty, which has increased from 10% to 35% in recent years, was highlighted. This figure reflects the deepening of industrial cooperation, the growing participation of local suppliers, and Alstom Kazakhstan’s contribution to the development of the domestic industry.
