The first meeting of the Public Council of the Ministry of Transport in 2024 summed up the work for the past year and approved an activity plan for 2025. Key areas include stabilizing the rail transport market, developing shipping, implementing transport reforms, combating corruption and developing the republican budget. In addition, the Council will support businesses in the field of freight and passenger transportation, as well as developing competition in the rail market.

During 2024, the Council developed legislative initiatives, considered citizens’ appeals and interacted with subordinate organizations. Active participation in industry forums, monitoring budget execution and supporting inclusiveness in transport were also among the priorities.

Five industry commissions were formed at the meeting: on civil aviation, rail and water transport, road transport, highways, as well as the budget and the fight against corruption. Their activities will be aimed at implementing strategic plans for the development of the industry until 2030.
