Transporeon and ÖBB Rail Cargo Group (RCG) are expanding their cooperation, which began in March 2023, to include new routes and improved transport data integration. Transporeon, a subsidiary of Trimble, and RCG, a leading rail logistics operator in Europe, announced the expansion of joint services to new rail corridors.
Customers can now shift their transport operations to less carbon-intensive rail and multimodal chains, where long distances are covered by trains and the first and last kilometers are flexibly handled by trucks, ensuring convenient delivery to the desired location. Users of the Transporeon transport platform can easily access their RCG shipments and benefit from extensive, high-quality data. Key features include real-time tracking, which allows shippers to track their rail shipments through the Transporeon platform using telematics. Transporeon also provides carbon footprint calculations according to CountEmissionsEU.
