Ukraine and Poland have entered into an agreement on cooperation in the field of transport, aimed at expanding the network of transport links and infrastructure, especially in the areas of agricultural products, as well as the development of transport corridors, including rail, road and air routes. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk signed a document confirming the intentions of both countries.

The agreement also covers the creation of conditions for the transportation of natural gas from Poland to Ukraine, including the supply of liquefied natural gas from Polish LNG terminals. Poland is actively developing the infrastructure of fast roads, such as S12 and S17, towards Ukraine, and hopes for rapid progress of these projects from the Ukrainian side, which will provide direct road connections between East and West.

Regarding railways, the restoration of the Rava-Ruska-Grebenne railway checkpoint and plans to open a new Nizhankovichi-Malkhovichi checkpoint are noted. Poland is also preparing to modernize railway lines in the direction of Ukraine, expecting an increase in freight volumes.

Both sides will focus on modernizing connections of different types of gauge (standard and broad), developing the infrastructure of transit terminals along railway line 65 and in the Chelm and Mediki region, including intermodal terminals.
