Vice Prime Minister for Reconstruction of Ukraine Oleksiy Kuleba and his deputy Serhiy Derkach held a meeting with a delegation of the Ministry of Infrastructure of Poland and the Ministry of Development Funds and Regional Policy. The parties focused on establishing freight and passenger transportation, developing border infrastructure and strengthening railway cooperation.

The Ukrainian side thanked Poland for modernizing checkpoints and participating in joint projects, but noted the need for a constructive dialogue on the registration of carriers in the SENT/RMPD systems, regulating transportation to/from third countries and extending the period of stay of drivers in each country.

To resolve these issues, Ukraine has already submitted the draft updated Protocol to the specialized agreement between the countries. The parties also agreed to hold a meeting of the Mixed Commission on Road Transport in order to develop specific mechanisms in response to the current challenges of the industry.
