The Embassy of Ukraine in Baku hosted a meeting between the Secretary General of the Permanent Secretariat of the TRACECA Intergovernmental Commission Asset Asavbayev and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Azerbaijan Yuriy Gusev. During the meeting, key areas of cooperation between TRACECA and Ukraine were discussed, as well as prospects for implementing joint projects for the development of the Europe-Caucasus-Asia transport corridor.
Particular attention was paid to the problems of ferry transportation across the Caspian Sea and the importance of coordinated actions to improve them. The draft Agreement on a single TRACECA transit permit was discussed, which Ukraine is ready to sign among the first, emphasizing its active role in regional integration processes.
In addition, the parties discussed the successful completion of the second stage of testing electronic consignment notes as part of the pilot project. The Secretary General expressed gratitude to Ukraine for its active participation and emphasized the importance of continuing joint work on new logistics solutions and strengthening the region’s export potential.
