During the meeting at Ukrzaliznytsia, they discussed the possibility of using Ukrainian-registered cars on the railways of Georgia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan after the resumption of the Chernomorsk-Batumi ferry service.

Deputy Director of the Department of Transportation Technology and Commercial Operations of Ukrzaliznytsia JSC Valery Tkachev recalled that after the start of the full-scale invasion, cooperation under the railway agreement between the CIS countries was terminated. Currently, Ukrzaliznytsia is working on concluding bilateral agreements with the railway administrations of each country individually.

Tkachev said that the department has already sent letters to Georgia, Kazakhstan, and Turkmenistan regarding the use of cars with Ukrainian registration. He also advised those planning such transportation to contact Ukrzaliznytsia for more detailed information. Earlier it became known that the Ukrferry company will resume ferry flights on the route from the port of Chernomorsk to the port of Batumi (Georgia) from July.
