The international logistics group AsstrA has announced the launch of a new intermodal transport service connecting the industrial regions of northeastern Spain – specifically Barcelona and Tarragona – with the Polish city of Poznań. The solution is designed for companies with loading and unloading points located within a 300 km radius of these terminals. According to the company, the average door-to-door delivery time is 9–10 days.

The new service combines multiple modes of transport, including rail and road. AsstrA notes that the intermodal approach ensures stable transport capacity even during periods of high demand when road transport availability is limited. Furthermore, rail transport is unaffected by restrictions on truck traffic during weekends, holidays, and at night, which helps minimize the risk of delays and avoid traffic congestion.

To handle the cargo, the company utilizes specialized equipment, including semi-trailers adapted for crane lifting and specialized containers. An additional feature of the service is a real-time GPS monitoring system, allowing clients to track the location of their shipments and receive prompt updates on the status of the transport.
