European ports report decline in cargo turnover, but container shipping is growing.
In the first half of 2025, the largest ports in Western Europe showed a decrease in total cargo turnover. In Antwerp-Bruges, volumes decreased by 4.3% to 137.2 million tons, in Rotterdam – by 4.1% to 211 million tons.

Projects to create an international hub Kazakhstan – Xinjin (Chengdu), build grain terminals and agrohubs, and develop warehouse infrastructure were discussed. The Chinese side presented digital solutions based on artificial intelligence to optimize transportation routes.
