Istanbul Airport has introduced a unique system for the simultaneous operation of three runways.

On April 17, 2025, an important event took place in the history of European aviation: Istanbul Airport (IST) officially launched the simultaneous operation of three independent runways. This innovation increased the capacity from 120 to 148 operations per hour. The first three Turkish Airlines flights under the new scheme were personally conducted by the Turkish Minister of Transport.

The Baltic transport ministers have called on the EU to ensure stable funding for Rail Baltica.

On 27 May, the Ministers of Transport of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania – Kuldar Leis, Atis Švinka and Eugenijus Sabutis – held a meeting in Vilnius before the meeting with their colleagues from the Nordic countries and the B9. UIRR has recorded growth in multimodal transport in Europe by the end of 2024.

According to the report of the International Union of Combined Rail and Road Transport (UIRR), in 2024, the volume of multimodal freight transport in Europe increased by 5.19% compared to the previous year, while freight turnover in tonne-kilometers grew by 8.41%. Domestic transport developed most dynamically, especially in France and Poland, where an increase of 10.6% was recorded.

Belgorod-Dnestrovsky Port signed the first memorandum of cooperation within the Middle Corridor with APM Terminals Poti.

Belgorod-Dnistrovsky Sea Port signed a memorandum with APM Terminals Poti, the operator of the largest seaport in Georgia and a division of the global logistics company Maersk. This is the first such agreement of the Ukrainian port, aimed at developing cooperation within the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR), also known as the Middle Corridor.
