RB Rail AS has started negotiations with participants in the tender for the Rail Baltica signalling system.

RB Rail AS has officially entered a month-long stage of negotiations with companies that submitted initial bids for the Design and Build (D&B) tender for the creation of the control and signalling subsystem (CCS) for the Rail Baltica project. The goal of the negotiations is to finalise the technical and financial proposals in order to select the optimal solution that meets the project requirements and the customer’s budget.

Rail Baltica in Latvia is considering attracting private investment to speed up construction.

On April 4, Chairman of the Board of the Latvian company Eiropas Dzelzceļa līnijas Ēriks Diljevs, Head of Investment Development of RB Rail AS Pēteris Celms and Director of the contractor organization Bererix Guntis Āboltiņš-Āboliņš held a meeting with representatives of the Swiss company SSB Holdings Group. The possibilities of attracting financing under the public-private partnership (PPP) model for the Rail Baltica project, in particular, the Central Hub in Riga, were discussed.

The Port of Rotterdam accelerates the development of infrastructure and a sustainable region through the NOVEX programme.

For the first time, a wide range of stakeholders, including the Port of Rotterdam Authority, presented joint agreements on the strategic development of the port. They concern key areas – the transition to sustainable energy sources, improving transport accessibility, building housing, reducing noise pollution and integrating the port into the environment. The initiative is being implemented within the framework of the national NOVEX program and is aimed at creating a sustainable, economically strong and comfortable region for living.

Kazakhstan expands exports and strengthens transport cooperation with the EU.

Speaking at the Central Asia-European Union summit, Kazakhstan President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev announced his readiness to increase exports to the EU for 175 commodity items worth over $2 billion. He recalled that Kazakhstan already provides about 13% of the EU’s oil imports, with the bulk of supplies going through the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC), the stable operation of which is supported by the EU.

Neptune Logistics strengthens cooperation with Qingbaijiang district: investment and logistics development discussed.
